Chattanooga Medicinal Mushrooms Summit

Join us for a full day of workshops exploring the medicinal and healing properties of mushrooms. We will cover the basics of medicinal mushrooms as well as explore some special interest topics such as medicinal mushrooms for pets, the folk medicine of Amanita muscaria, and a deeper dive than ever before into psychedelic mushrooms in both traditional and therapeutic settings.

Some mushrooms we will discuss in detail include Lion's Mane, Turkey Tail, Reishi, Chaga, Psilocybe cubensis, Amanita muscaria (Fly Agaric) and more!

Bring your own lunch or dine with us! Our menu includes Holy Shiitake Pizza from Mellow Mushroom + Salad for $20/per person. You can upgrade to gluten free crust for an additional $2.

Workshop Topics

Medicinal Mushrooms for Nutrition, Wellness & Recovery

In this class we will explore medicinal mushrooms for general health and wellness including their amazing support to the immune system. Drawing from Traditional Chinese Medicine and Southern Folk Medicine, we'll discuss how medicinal mushrooms can support brain health, nervous system functioning recovery from serious health conditions, and more!

DIY Recipes & Remedies

In this workshop we'll discuss easy medicinal preparations that you can create at home plus we'll discuss the various mushroom products on the market, from supplements and powders to tinctures and extracts. We'll also share recipes for mushroom teas, broths, and easy meals.

Fungi for Your Furry Friends

Did you know that medicinal mushrooms can not only help keep our pets healthy, but they can also help support our furry friends during times of sickness and disease? We'll offer special considerations to keep in mind as well as specific protocols for pets in this class. 

 

The Misunderstood Mushroom: The Magic & Medicine of Amanita Muscaria

Amanita muscaria is found in myth, lore, and healing traditions that touch every corner of the globe. Foraging guides warn of their toxicity while folk medicine and ancestral stories suggest their role in physical, emotional and spiritual healing. It's no wonder that we are both curious and a bit scared to go down the rabbit hole! In this class we'll cover the safety, magic and medicine of this special mushroom.

Psychedelic Mushrooms in Folk Medicine & Therapeutic Settings 

You asked for it!!! We are expanding our workshop on psychedelic mushrooms to include more information than ever before. We will be discussing the neuroscience of psilocybin as well as the clinical research currently underway. In addition, we'll cover the ancient history of this mushroom and its role in folk medicine, spiritual ceremonies and ancestral wisdom. Finally, we'll cover the practices of microdosing and therapeutic journeys and clear up some myths and misunderstandings about these healing practices.

The Art of Integration

Integration is the practice of understanding, applying and embodying the information or wisdom gained from an experience. Integration is an essential practice when working with psychoactive or psychedelic mushrooms, however support and education around this topic is lacking. In this workshop, we'll discuss the importance of integration, practices to support the process and where to find integration support. We'll also talk offer tips for integrating all the new information you learned during the Summit!

Summit Presenter

Michelle Rigling, PhD, Holistic Health Practitioner

Michelle is a MycoTherapist (Mushroom Therapist) and is the founder of both The Midsouth Women's Herbal Conference and The Wild Medicine Conference. She is a doctorate-level Transpersonal Counselor, Eco-Therapy Guide, and a Board-Certified Holistic Health Practitioner who incorporates medicinal mushrooms into her private practice in Chattanooga, TN. Michelle is also a Trauma-Informed Sacred Medicine Guide who provides psychedelic harm-reduction (trip sitting) services and Integration Counseling.

We reserve the right to cancel this event if a minimum number of 20 people are not registered by March 15, 2026. If this happens, you will be notified via email and you will receive a full refund. 

 

Summit registration includes access to workshops, parking, and complimentary herbal tea. 

 

Registrations are final and non-refundable unless the event is fully cancelled by the host.

In the unlikely event of a public health crisis or unexpected emergency, the host reserves the right to shift this summit to a virtual platform. If this happens, all participants will receive access to live webinars and recordings of all workshops. Summit registration fees will not be refunded if a virtual event is possible.

The 2026 Medicinal Mushrooms Summit is open to all individuals ages 16+. All attendees must register and pay in advance.

Lunch is not included, however can be added for an additional fee. Attendees are ​also welcome to bring their own food or snacks.
