Meet The Cavewoman
Michelle Rigling, PhD, M.Sc.
Counselor & Sacred Medicine Guide

Before Michelle was a Counselor and Guide, she was an imaginative child, rambling through the woods, talking to rocks, and telling tall tales to whomever would listen. During the first several years of her career as a social worker and program director she struggled to stick to a conventional approach, knowing that some things were missing: nature, soul, and intuition to name a few of them!

Michelle found a home in Transpersonal Psychology - a space that honors the wisdom of the body, the longings of the heart, and the callings of Soul. As a Counselor, Eco-Therapist, and Trauma-Informed Sacred Medicine Guide she supports others who also know there is something more, something deeper, something mysterious and rich underneath the surface of our lives. Her clients learn to reconnect with their intuition, reclaim imagination, and navigate mystical experiences such as dreams, visions and altered states of consciousness that occur in connection with nature, plants, and mushrooms.
Michelle has advanced training in Depth Psychology, Mythic Medicine, Shadow Work, Way of Council, Plant Spirit Herbalism, and Psychedelic Medicine. She offers in-office and virtual sessions, council circles, retreat immersions and online groups.
The Cavewoman Team
Jess Mangano, M.Ed, (T) LPC-MHSP

For those who are subtly (or not so subtly!) tuned to the dimensions of consciousness, meaning, or reality that are larger than your singular identity, you are tuned to experiences with the transpersonal. There are many elements of human phenomena that are experiential portals to the greater layers of significance that are all around us. For example, grief and loss can be transpersonal. Change can be transpersonal. Psychedelic preparation and integration work can be transpersonal. Profound encounters (in nature, dreams, synchronicity, or altered states) can be transpersonal. The dismantling of old identities can be transpersonal. Beginnings, endings, and upheavals can be transpersonal, too.

These types of experiences often evoke poignant shifts in your sense of self that feel weighted, intense, confusing, and chaotic. The path through these life-changing thresholds is often obscured by the trials of everyday life, and the capacity to drop into the story underneath the story of what you’re going through can be hard to access alone. Jess’s intention is to hold the space for you to lose your mind, come to your senses, and embody the spiritual and soulful invitations that are infused into the oh so curious parts of your life.
Jess offers a unique style of support that infuses her apprentice work in transpersonal counseling with her education and work as a trauma-informed clinical counselor. Jess shows up with a great degree of reverence and curiosity to help walk you home to your innate wisdom and healing abilities. Awakenings inevitably inspire community and connection with your wider circles and the natural world, thus providing continuous opportunities for awe and transformation.

Jess offers in-person and virtual transpersonal counseling and coaching through The Cavewoman Way and is currently accepting new clients.
Let us push on now, and remember ourselves back to the wild soul.
