Blue Moon Cave Quest

Women's Cave & Camping Weekend

May 29 - 31, 2026

Fort Payne, AL

"The moon sings her prayers nightly.

Breathing in,

her belly fills with light.

Breathing out,

she becomes a sliver.

The stars stand waiting at the mouth

of her cave, but she slips out silently

back into the night..."

~Christine Valters Paintner

Throughout herstory, the Blue Moon has been revered as a time of heightened intuition and feminine wisdom. It is a potent time to gather in sisterhood and ceremony, especially in wild and sacred places such as caves and underground caverns.

Under this May's Blue Moon, we will embody the ancient ceremony of descending into the sacred underground to quest, connect and listen. We'll approach the cave as an Oracle, opening ourselves up to insights, invitations and wisdom from Mystery herself.

Caving

We will be gathering and questing in a wild cave, ultimately descending about half a mile underground. While a clear pathway exists and no squeezing or crawling is needed, the ground can be uneven, wet and rocky. Physical mobility, appropriate shoes and the willingness to follow all safety protocols is required of everyone attending.

Camping

Camping spaces range from flat surfaces near the parking area to wooded areas, based on your preference and comfort level. There will also be an opportunity to spend part of the night inside the cave, so additional supplies will be recommended in the preparation letter if this interests you.

Investment: $399

Includes program, camping and 2 dinners.

Deposit

Save your spot with a $200 deposit. Balances are due by May 1, 2026.
