Gathering the Bones
"Wolf Woman" Retreat
February 3-5, 2023
Even the wild woman needs time to rest and recharge.
Inspired by the story of La Loba from Women Who Run with the Wolves, this retreat is The Cavewoman Way's signature annual event. Not only will we share the story of La Loba around the fire, we will dive into the themes of the story to reconnect with our own inner "wolf woman" through writing, reflection and ritual. We'll nurture our wild bodies with nourishing meals, herbal beverages and chocolates, rest, and gentle hikes. And for those looking to rekindle their creative fire, there will be storytelling, inspirational conversations, and nature-inspired crafts.
Our Wolf Moon Retreat offers a small group of women the opportunity to come together for an intimate experience at one of our favorite cabin destinations: the beautiful Fort Mountain State Park. Each year, we find new ways to embody La Loba's story, making this gathering a yearly tradition for some and a once-in-a-lifetime experience for others. With only 8 spots, this event usually fills up quickly.
"Climb up to the cave. Crawl through the window of a dream. Sift through the desert and see what you find... Go gather bones."
-Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estés
