Group Size: 12 Women

This women's retreat is all about the things that nourish us: togetherness and sisterhood, delicious foods, rest, meaningful stories, and gratitude.

The Celtic festival of Lughnasa was a special time when people came together to celebrate “first harvest”. These gatherings centered around feasting, community, thankfulness, and taking time to rest after a summer of hard work. Our retreat offers a simple, restorative, and festive way to connect with these old traditions and welcome the harvest season.

A highlight of this retreat will be an exquisite menu of homemade foods that will incorporate seasonal herbs, traditional grains, and harvest vegetables. From Farmer’s Market Frittata in the morning, endless summer appetizers, savory lunches, and our Lughnasa Feast, you will not be disappointed, or hungry!

Storytelling & Tradition

We will craft corn dolls, bake bread together, create a Three Sisters Mandala, tell stories of Harvest Goddesses and the Corn Spirit, plus have plenty of time for nature walks and relaxing.

Herbal Medicine & The Honorable Harvest

Time to rest and be with other women will be the true medicine of the weekend, however, there will also be workshops about “The Honorable Harvest”, identifying and foraging late summer plants and herbs, and making your own herbal medicines. Our herbal workshops will be led by Herbal Practitioner, Leanne Holcomb, founder of One Tree Healing Arts.

Lodging & Meals

Our retreat will take place on a 20-acre farm in Ellijay, GA. The property features a historic homestead, beautiful meadows, mountain streams, and forest trails. Our menu will include mostly vegetarian dishes, highlighting harvest grains and seasonal foods.
